I wrote earlier this year about the treasure trove of music and cultural media that is Archive.org. I love when I stumble across something new; maybe an artist I've been listening to for awhile who has stuff up there or even the litany of shows from Virginia's great venue, Jammin' Java, available on the network.
Well, I was trying to track down some live cuts of Jackopierce (a Dallas-based band that Southern Methodist Univ. students worship the same way South Car. students do Hootie), and I found a great show from Chicago's Park West recorded last fall. Listening to it this morning, I noticed that I can even embed the whole show.
I love how easy Archive.org makes it to share music. Simplicity and utility are such overlooked tactics to getting video, film, memes or anything, to go viral. Enjoy the show. Be sure to listen to the cover of "Please Come to Boston."
MLTDA doesn't have new content any more, but if you are looking for more of this type of information, it's all been moved to State of the Fourth Estate.
