Everything But a Phone

One of my favorite jokes about the iPhone is that it does a lot of things incredibly well, but it seems to be lacking in the "making phone calls" department (at least in the U.S.). I like my phone to be a phone first, hence why I'm sticking with other technology...

...but it looks like I'm in the minority. A new report from Lightspeed Research has some fascinating stats: including the fact that 13 percent of U.S. mobile phone owners claim they never make phone calls. Check it:


That's not it, as it seems that even more usages are desired for phones. We're so far beyond a dialing system these days, aren't we?
